All our welded mesh fences are made of steel wire. Most welded mesh fences are only hot-dip galvanized, and selected versions of our EuroGuard® series have a zinc alloy coating for excellent corrosion resistance.

EuroGuard® series welded mesh panels provide ideal fencing solutions for schools, leisure attractions, commercial venues and even residential properties that require a higher level of security. There are a variety of styles to choose from, including flat profile fences with horizontal double lines, flat sports rebound nets, enhanced V-shaped net fences with a V-shaped profile to increase strength and rigidity, and steel-wood composite panels to increase Privacy and beautiful natural wood facade.
Commonly referred to as 358 mesh or prison mesh, our Securi-Mesh® series of welded mesh panels use anti-climbing heavy-duty meshes with small holes and welds to meet specifications including the use of closed-circuit televisions, and visual deterrence is a key consideration factor. The Securi-Mesh® panel has a single-layer tightly woven welded mesh, while Securi-Mesh® Plus provides a double-layer mesh and is secured by a tamper-proof fixing device.
Our high-security welded mesh panels have passed physical tests that comply with the standard. The standard provides a classification for each panel, indicating its protection level against a series of tool sets and attack time. These mesh panels are certified by LPCB with an LPS 1175 security rating, making them ideal for high-risk areas that require certification protection.

Welded mesh fences have become more and more popular in the past few years and are widely available from various suppliers. This design is suitable for applications where permeability, installation speed and low cost are the main requirements.
Looking at the most popular grid designs, it is easy to assume that there is little choice between them; on paper, they look very similar and have similar line spacing, enhanced folds, and line sizes. Unfortunately, this is far from reality.
There are many factors that can distinguish a mesh fence that can provide safety and a long service life from a fence that cannot provide safety and a long service life. If you want a welded mesh fence that is always suitable for use throughout its life cycle, please consider the following:
All welded mesh fence panels start from steel wire coils. As with all steel products, the quality and durability of the finished product stems from the use of high-quality materials, which is largely a factor in the wire manufacturing process. Whenever possible, you should check whether the steel wire used by the fence panel manufacturer is of good grade and can be traced to an ISO 9001:2015 recognized source to ensure consistency and compliance with material specifications and tolerances.
Rigid welded mesh fence panels are almost always sold with a protective coating covering the wires-whether it is pre-galvanized (galvanized before welding), galvanized after welding (GAW), zinc alloy coating or plastic coating. Some manufacturers measure the wire diameter after applying the coating. A smaller diameter wire with a thicker coating will not provide the same structural strength and cut resistance as a product made from a larger diameter wire, even though the two will show the same diameter.
The mesh fence will be made of metal wires that are pre-galvanized before being welded together. During the manufacturing process, each intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines is welded to form a grid panel. However, the welding process effectively removes the zinc protective layer, leaving the welding wire unprotected and corroded at the precise point where its integrity needs to be maintained.
Rigid mesh fence panels that are galvanized after the wires are welded in place are more durable than panels made from pre-galvanized wires. The manufactured panels are usually hot-dip galvanized to completely cover the zinc coating. The disadvantage of this process is that it requires a lot of "trimming" after manufacturing to remove surface defects and sharp zinc spikes, which increases costs.
The notable exception to this rule is the use of panels made of Galfan® or similar zinc alloy coated wire that complies with the British standard (BS EN 10244-2:2009). The high aluminum content of Galfan® coated welding wire allows the joint to "heal" at the welding temperature, thereby maintaining corrosion protection.
Powder coatings complying with British Standard BS EN 13438 are applied to galvanized or zinc alloy coated substrates to provide an almost unlimited range of color decoration effects. In addition, the powder coating enhances the durability of the mesh fence by providing a further protective layer.
Like powder coatings, thermoplastic coatings are sprayed onto galvanized or zinc alloy substrates and are particularly effective in applications where fences are exposed to harsh or corrosive environments, such as coastal areas, deserts, and industrial facilities. The combination of the thermoplastic coating on the Galfan substrate will provide maximum surface protection for the mesh panel fence. Before the final coating, all Jacksons mesh panels are coated with zinc-aluminum alloy
The upright post and the mechanical fixation of the welded mesh plate to the upright post are very important to the safety characteristics of the mesh fence. Some manufacturers are willing to reduce the post size to save costs; so it is worth a closer look. Each clip of the Jacksons mesh fence uses at least two vandal-proof mechanical fixing points.
